Robust is sired by one of the most fresh and exciting Red Angus sires currently in Canada. Red Lakeford Kapton 7M is a phenotypically flawless free moving mature herdsire who made a lot of friends at the shows. He was named Grand Champion Red Angus Bull at the 2004 Canadian Western Agribition. His popularity continues to grow as more and more of his progeny surface. The dam of Robust is a CAA Elite Dam who is a member of the same cow family that raised the Semex sire, Red Kenray Dynamo 9C. Robust's 2007 spring calves all display the same early performance this sire had. His progeny are wide toped with the frame to pack some pounds. Robust transmits pay weight to his progeny, we expect his calves to be some of the heaviest come weaning time.
